5 cornerstones with 1 Result

Think well of the group – It is important that each of us make an effort to “assume” the positive motivation when questioning the actions of another. It a person hurries away from you while you are trying to talk to them, “assume” they had an urgent reason, like a need to use the restroom; and not “assume” they don't want to speak with you. When a person argues a different side of a point with you, please “assume” that they have the same sincere desire for the love and care of SJF as a whole that you do.

Think well of yourself – Please think as well of yourself as you do the rest of the group. You are as much a valuable part of SJF as each of us. Trust your skills, your talents, and your motives as much as we do.

Stewardship of Self – Each of us has a responsibility to give of our talents, resources, and skills to the interdependent web of all existence (the Universal Whole or World Community), but part of that responsibility includes taking care of our personal needs. This balance of giving what is wise, while keeping what is needed is what we call “Stewardship of Self”

Honor your Sacred Wounds – Each of us has wounds in our pasts that help form who we are. It is up to each of us the honor these Sacred Wounds by choosing to learn from them while not allowing ourselves to be lead by them. When we make choices and act from a place of pain instead of peace, we do not make the best choices.

Make good Choices – If we fail to make choices, then they are made for us. Our first and most important choice is to each choose our own path for this Journey we are on by actively making positive choices.

Service - By doing all of the above cornerstones, we but ourselves in a position where we can best service our fellowship and the global community. It's not enough to be able to serve. You then have to step out and do it.
